On Feeling
Without separation
of mind from body,
self from world,
or myself from you,
What are facts
but the feelings felt
by feelers past
whose feelings I
am feeling now?
And what would be
my feelings now,
if not feelings to be felt
by feelers who
have yet to come?
Whether
misery or joy,
happiness or sorrow,
pain or pleasure,
great suffering or great bliss
— no feeling belongs to me,
I am simply
but the midwife
of feelings Thus Gone
giving rise
to feelings Thus Come.
